Best Crossbows

Pulley Crossbow is the Best for Status Effect Buildup

Weapon Explanation
Elden Ring - Pulley CrossbowPulley Crossbow ・Can easily proc status effects like Bleed and Frostbite within the first 2 volleys.
・Very efficient ammo usage since it only consumes 3 Bolts per volley.
・Requires less Stamina when firing compared to the Repeating Crossbow. Also fires the volley even when 1-handed.

Unfortunately, the Pulley Crossbow still reigns supreme despite the introduction of the new Repeating Crossbow and Spread Crossbow in the DLC. Not only does it proc status effects faster than the new ones, it also consumes less ammo and has a lower Stamina drain when fired.

The Repeating Crossbow loses out against the Pulley because its rapid fire is tied to its ash of war (which consumes a lot of Stamina and costs FP). The Spread Crossbow is a bit more forgiving in the Stamina department. However, at the cost of 10 bolts per shot, you'll quickly find yourself burning through all 198 of your bolts in a single boss fight when using it.

The crossbow list is missing the "full moon crossbow" it has no stat scaling and requires 10 str, 10 dex and 14 int
