How to Use Cleanrot Spear

Scales with Strength, Dexterity, and Faith

The Cleanrot Spear scales equally with Strength and Dexterity which means leveling up either attribute will have the same increase to your physical attack damage. Equipping the Starscourge Heirloom or Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom will increase your damage output.

The weapon also scales with Faith and adding points to this attribute will increase your Holy damage. The Two Fingers Heirloom can increase the damage of your attacks by raising your Faith.

Raises Scarlet Rot Resistance

This weapon has a passive ability that raises your resistance against Scarlet Rot by 50 while the weapon is equipped. It is a good weapon to use while traversing and going up against enemies that apply the Scarlet Rot status effect.

The Cleanrot Spear's physical attacks also deal an additional Holy damage that is effective against enemies that have a low resistance to Holy. Most notably, Holy Damage is effective against Skeletons and Zombies. Pairing it with the Sacred Scorpion Charm can further increase the damage of your attacks.

Weapon Skill is Effective Against Multiple Enemies

This weapon cannot be infused with Ashes of War and is equipped with Sacred Phalanx as its default weapon skill. When activated it swings the spear upwards and unleashes golden spears from the ground in a wide area in front of the user. It can easily break guard and stagger rushing enemies.

The skill is particularly effective against larger enemies that can get hit by all of the spears but keep in mind that you are exposed to attacks so make sure that you are at a safe distance before using it.
