Scales with Strength, Faith, and Dexterity

Ordovis’ Greatsword scales with Strength and Faith followed by Faith. This weapon scales highly with Strength and Faith which makes it a good weapon for Strength players looking for a weapon that deals Holy Damage.

Adding points to Strength will increase the stat scaling bonus to physical attack value while leveling up Faith will enhance the weapon's Holy damage output and weapon skill. These two talismans, Starscourge Heirloom increases Strength for additional Strength Scaling and Two Fingers Heirloom increases Faith for additional Faith scaling.

Weapon Deals Holy Damage

This weapon's physical attacks deal additional Holy damage, making it a good weapon to use against enemies that are weak to this damage type. The damage can be increased with the Two Fingers Heirloom that increases your Faith for an additional scaling bonus.

Weapon Skill can Deal High Amounts of Damage

This weapon cannot be infused with Ashes of War and is equipped with the weapon skill Ordovis’ Vortex. When activated, it spins the sword in one hand before slamming it to the ground which causes an explosion of Holy damage around the user. This skill can be charged for more damage but will much longer to cast, the Godfrey Icon talisman which enhances charged spells and skills is good supplementary equipment.

Since this weapon and its weapon skill deal Holy damage, the talisman Sacred Scorpion Charm will raise the damage done by Holy-based attacks at the expense of low damage negation.

Weapon skill damage scales with Faith

Since the weapon skill directly scales with Faith, adding points to this attribute will enhance the capability of the weapon skill.
