Core Combos and Interactions

Two-Card Full Combo

All the Deck needs is one card to get any combo started. Tuning and Reinforcement of the Army are two of the Deck's best searchers, and depending on what card you get, it can result in a crazy combo before you know it. Just make sure your opponet doesn't get to resolve Maxx "C".

Card(s) Needed
Tuning Reinforcement of the Army
Step Description
1 Activate Tuning; search out a copy of Junk Synchron from the Deck to the hand, and send one card from the top of the Deck to the GY.
2 Activate Reinforcement of the Army; search out a copy of Junk Converter from the Deck to the hand. Then, activate its effect afterwards; discard both itself and Junk Synchron to add another copy of Junk Synchron to the hand.
3 Normal Summon Junk Synchron, and activate its effect; target Junk Converter from the GY, and Special Summon it back to your field. Then, using these two monsters as materials, Synchro Summon Junk Speeder.
4 Upon being Synchro Summoned, activate Junk Speeder's effect; Special Summon Jet Synchron, Assault Synchron, Stardust Synchron, Quickdraw Synchron and the last copy of Junk Synchron straight from the Deck.
5 Upon being Special Summoned, activate Stardust Synchron's effect; search and add Arrive in Light from the Deck to the hand.
6 Using Junk Speeder and Jet Synchron as materials, Synchro Summon Stardust Charge Warrior, and draw 1 card once it hits the field.
7 Activate Arrive in Light; place Convering Wills Dragon at the very top of the Deck.
8 Using Assault Synchron and Stardust Charging Warrior as materials, Synchro Summon Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon.
9 The Synchro Summon triggers Arrive in Light to activate its effect, and draw the Converging Wills Dragon you placed at the top of the Deck in the previous step. This also triggers the monster's effect, and Special Summon it upon being drawn, alongside Omni Dragon Brotaur because you control a Dragon-type Synchro Monster.
10 Upon being Special Summoned, activate Omni Dragon Brotaur's effect; target Junk Synchron, discard a card, then add Doppelwarrior to the hand.
11 Using Omni Dragon Brotaur and Stardust Synchron as materials, Synchro Summon T.G. Hyper Librarian. Take note that for every Synchro Summon you do while this card is face-up on the field, you get to draw a card.
12 Activate Stardust Synchron's effect from the Graveyard; tribute Quickdraw Synchron to Special Summon itself back to the field. This triggers Doppelwarrior's effect from the hand ot Special Summon itseld onto the field.
13 Using Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, Converging Wills Dragon and Doppelwarrior as materials, Synchro Summon Shooting Majestic Star Dragon. Because of being used as Synchro material, this triggers Doppelwarrior's effect to Special Summon 2 Level 1 Doppel Tokens.
13 Using one of the Doppel Tokens and Stardust Synchron as materials, Synchro Summon Garden Rose Maiden. As it was Special Summoned, activate its effect to search out Black Garden from the Deck.
14 Activate the effect of Jet Synchron from the Graveyard; discard a card, then Special Summon it back onto the field. Then, using itself and the other Doppel Token as materials, Synchro Summon Celestial Double Star Shaman.
15 As Celestial Double Star Shaman was Synchro Summoned, activate its effect; Specail Summon Junk Converter from the GY back on to the field.
16 Activate Black Garden. Afterwards, using Garden Rose Maiden, T.G. Hyper Librarian and Celestial Double Star Shaman as materials, Synchro Summon Cosmic Blazar Dragon. Due to this Summon, summon a Rose Token on the opponent's side of the field.
17 Activate the second effect of Black Garden; target Doppelwarrior in your GY, then the Rose Token in the opponent's side of the field. Destroy the Token, then the Field Spell, and Special Summon Doppelwarrior afterwards.
18 Using Junk Synchron and Doppelwarrior as materials, Synchro Summon Accel Synchron. This triggers Doppelwarrior's effect again to Special Summon two Level 1 Doppel Tokens onto your field.
19 Activate the effect of Accel Synchron; send Cyberse Synchron from the Deck to the GY, and reduce the Tuner Synchro Monster's Level by 1. Then, using the Level 4 Accel Synchron, *Junk Converter, and the two Doppel Tokens, Synchro Summon Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon**.
20 Chain Link 2: Activate Junk Converter's effect after being used as material for a Synchro Summon; Special Summon Celestial Double Star Shaman from the GY back to the field.
Chain Link 1: Activate Accel Synchro Cyber Dragon's effect; Special Summon Cyberse Synchron from the GY back to the field.
21 Activate the effect of Cyberse Synchron on the field; increase its Level to Level 2. Then, activate Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon's active effect; tribute itself from the field to Special Summon Stardust Dragon from the Extra Deck for free, then immediately use it with Celestial Double Star Shaman to Synchro Summon Shooting Star Dragon.
22 Because of Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon tributing itself in Step 21, you can activate the effect of Assault Synchron from the GY; banish it, then target Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon to be Special Summoned back to the field
23 Using the Level 2 Cyberse Synchron and Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon as materials, Synchro Summon Baronne de Fleur.
24 Activate the effect of Rose Garden Maiden from the GY; banish itself, then Special Summon from the GY Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon.

Boss Monsters

Quite a lot of the monsters in the Extra Deck can be considered as boss monsters, thus we'll be choosing the Top 5 monsters you should be prioritizing to summon as soon as possible in your usual combos.

Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon
Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon can be tricky to summon, since it needs a Synchro Monster as part of its material requirements. This monster is particularly strong against other boss monsters, being able to negate their effects if activated, destroy them, and gain ATK equal to theirs. If done right, it can be an OTK play off the bat.
Baronne de Fleur
Baronne de Fleur If a Deck that can Synchro Summon can easily manage Level 10 monsters, then Baronne de Fleur is a must-have in any Extra Deck. An omni-negate and once-per-turn card destruction effect makes this card extremely valuable. It can return itself to the Extra Deck to Special Summon a monster Level 9 or below from the GY.
Shooting Majestic Star Dragon
Shooting Majestic Star Dragon Once per turn, Shooting Majestic Star Dragon can negate a monster the opponent controls, free of charge, and remains negated until they leave the field. For every "Stardust Dragon" or a Synchro Monster that has said monster as part of its materials, this monster gains an additional attack. It also has a second omni-negate as a Quick Effect, but you have to banish this card alongside the negated card.
Shooting Quasar Dragon
Shooting Quasar Dragon While on the hardest monsters to summon because of its material requirements, Shooting Quasar Dragon is one of the strongest monsters. A once-per-turn omni-negate and multiple attacks per turn makes this card extremely dangerous. It even has a floating effect where it can Special Summon a Shooting Star Dragon if ever this card leaves the field!
Cosmic Blazar Dragon
Cosmic Blazar Dragon Cosmic Blazar Dragon can banish itself until the End Phase as a Qucik Effect, and after doing so it can choose between crucial effects. It can either negate a card/ effects they activated, negate a Summon and destroy the cards with the effect, and end the Battle Phase outright if the opponent launches an attack.

The Deck itself has a tight set of cards included in almost any Stardust Dragon list. It's tricky to replace these cards without losing too much of the value it provides.

If you're short on CPs, removing a copy or two of some of the UR/SR cards on the list could help lighten the cost. However, don't expect the decklist to work as well when you do.

Stardust Dragon Counters: How to Beat

Best Decks to Use Against Stardust Dragon

Ishizu Tearlaments

Master Duel - Ishizu Tearlaments

If Ishizu Tearlamanets manages to go first against a Stardust Dragon deck, then it will all come down to luck if the Tear Zero player manages to get crucial cards in their starting hand. At full strength, Stardust Dragon has no shot against the current best deck in the game (as of writing), so make sure have as many disruptions and hand traps as possible.

Ishizu Tearlaments Deck List & Card Guide

Exosisters

Master Duel - Exosisters

Exosisters provide a balance between Special Summoning powerful monsters, and disrupting players through banishing them. Unfortunately for Stardust Dragon decks, they don't often come with effects that can benefit should said cards be banished from the game. THe matchup gets worse if they run floodgates that banish cards that should've been sent to the GY instead.

Exosisters Deck List & Card Guide

Eldlich Control

Master Duel - Eldlich Control

Eldlich Decks slow the game down to a pace that they control, disrupting as much as possible with Continuous Traps and various floodgates that prevent their opponent from properly playing their cards. Once they have their set cards on the field to constantly refresh Traps and keep the titular Monster alive, it can be hard to break their defenses just to play the game.

Eldlich Control Deck List & Card Guide

Runick Control

Master Duel - Runick Control

Runick Control Decks are extremely dangerous if they manage to go first. Their Quick-Play Spells banish cards off the top of the Stadust Dragon's deck, and if enough key cards end up being banished, the Deck becomes unplayable. Stardust Dragon players may want to tech cards that prevent cards from being banished.

Best Cards to Tech Against Stardust Dragon

Maxx "C"
Maxx "C" A usual Stardust Dragon relies heavily on multiple Synchro Summons and regular Special Summons to set up. You can take advantage or slow them down by snapping Maxx "C" the moment they go for their usual combo to make them hesitate.
Mudora the Sword Oracle
Mudora the Sword Oracle Mudora the Sword Oracle, and by proxy its fellow Ishizu Card Keldo the Sacred Protector are good hard counters against a Stardust Dragon deck, especially when a few of its monsters need to be Special Summoned from the GY in order to continue their combos. Time it right, and shuffle certain cards from the GY to the Deck to stop the chain of Summons.
Dark Ruler No More
Dark Ruler No More Stardust Dragon players need to watch out for Dark Ruler No More as soon as they manage to set up a full field of boss Synchro Monsters. The Spell Card negates your Effect Monsters, and the worst part is that Effect Monsters cannot respond to this card's activation.
Summon Limit
Summon Limit Summon Limit restricting both players to only two summons per turn will cripple a Stardust Dragon deck, no longer able to rely on their Extra Deck to win the Duel. It doesn't help that a Stardust Dragon deck doesn't have a lot of strong monters in the Main Deck.
