How to Use Leon

Leon is the only Mercenaries character who has a shotgun, which is an invaluable weapon in close quarters combat, fending off mobs of enemies, and taking down tough enemies including elites such as Chainsaw Man and Brute (Minotaur).

Leon's roundhouse kick is his best melee move, as it can hit all enemies in a small radius around him. Trigger this kick by shooting enemies in the head.

Leon's Mayhem mode allows him to fire with greater attack strength and speed, but the effectiveness of this ability is entirely dependent on the player's accuracy.

How to Use Luis

Luis' dynamite stick Mayhem Mode can wipe out a whole mob of enemies, as it is easy to use and very powerful, and deals significant damage to elite enemies. You can only plant 1 dynamite at a time, but after letting one explode, you can plant another dynamite while the Mayhem gauge is still active. You can set off up to 3 dynamites if you're quick enough.

Luis doesn't fare well against ambushes or fighting in close range combat, as he doesn't have the means nor the guns to fend off mobs of enemies. When using Luis, it is beneficial to maintain a good amount of distance between you and enemies.

How to Use Krauser

Krauser's knife combo is superior compared to other Mercenaries characters. Due to stronger knife power and durability, Krauser's knife attacks can continuously deal with enemies without breaking combo count. Furthermore, killing an enemy using knives will increase the time limit by 4 seconds.

Krauser's Mayhem Mode ability is strong against both normal and elite enemies. This is particularly useful when you are surrounded as it can defeat most enemies in a single blow.

Melee Attack Neckbreaker: Snaps a staggered enemy's head and kills them instantly.

How to Use Hunk

Hunk can defeat all enemies, including elites such as Chainsaw Man and Brute (Minotaur), with a single blow using the melee execution. If you use melee execution on a Ganado, their Plaga will not be exposed.

In addition, when you attack the enemy's legs and they flinch, the melee execution will change to kick or palm strike, which is good to use when surrounded by a lot of enemies.

Hunk's Mayhem Mode is an unrivaled ability that allows him to have infinite ammo. When this ability is active, you can deal continuous damage without needing to reload. Just make sure not to be surrounded by enemies, as Hunk has low HP and no other weapons to stop hordes.
