Aim for Weak Spots and Utilize Melee Prompts

Soldiers swarm towards Leon, you can take advantage of this by shooting one Soldier in the head and then perform a melee prompt. The melee attack hits all Soldiers in range, making it perfect for swarmed encounters.

There are also Soldiers that wear helmets which cannot be penetratred, shoot its leg then perform a melee prompt to deal massive damage.

Never Parry the Stun Rod

If you try to parry the Soldier with a stun rod Leon will be electrocuted and paralyzed for a few seconds, this gives other enemies a considerable attack window which can be fatal.

Prioritize Brutes (Minotaurs)

Brutes are also quite common in the Soldier ranks and all of them fashions an automatic crossbow. We highly recommend prioritizing them first to avoid damage from a barrage of bolts.

Aim for the Feet of Shielded Enemies

There will be soldiers carrying metal shields that cannot be penetrated, shoot their feet or leg to open them for a melee prompt that deals high damage. Note that aim assist can mess with this strategy.

Use Flash Grenade for Mutated Enemies & Parasytes

Soldiers can also mutate their Plaga if they die once. Furthermore Parasites can also take on a Soldier's body; a Flash Grenade is highly recommended for these encounters for efficiency.
