Chapter 11 Basic Information

Chapter Summary

Leon finds Luis at the top of the elevator, who immediately gives him a virus suppressant. They then work together to reach the Throne Room to come to Ashley's rescue.

Make Your Way to the Surface

Route Map

Obtain a Dynamite

Go around the room past the merchant and climb the ladder. Follow the tracks until you reach a block with a painted rock. Turn right from here to find a narrow path that leads to a mine shaft filled with Ganados, including a Chainsaw Man and a Chainsaw Sister (Chainsaw Siblings?).

When it's clear, climb the winding stairs on the other side and enter the room to find the lever that will lower the bridge across, which also spawns more company.

Take the stairs down for a shortcut back to the main area then head for the lowered bridge. Cross the bridge and immediately turn left to find a room where you can grab a Dynamite.

Clear the Path to the Next Room

Return to the tunnel block from before and blow it up using the Dynamite. Make sure to stay back to avoid the debris. Continue following the path to the next room.

Defeat the Two Gigantes

The boss fight will commence after interacting with the vent that leads to the Blast Furnace. They both behave the same as a typical Gigante, but since the other one is armored, it will be tough to take it down with just your weapons.

First off, you can take out the unarmored Gigante normally or open the hatch at the center of the room using the nearby console. Now for the armored one, wait for Luis to grab another Dynamite from somewhere in the area and stick it on the giant's back.

Blow up the dynamite with a bullet to reveal the plaga on its back, which you can shoot to finally deal damage on the giant. You can also try to lure it at the center before stunning it (by dealing sufficient damage on the plaga) and opening the hatch again to drop the armored Gigante into the lava.

How to Beat Dos Gigantes

Ride Through the Mines

After the fight, give Luis a boost so he can enter the locked room through a hole and open it from the inside. Further up the path, you will find a minecart that you and Luis can ride to get to the next area.

During the ride, pay attention to each turn and lean towards the direction where the cart is turning to to avoid falling off. Watch out for wooden boards along path too and quickly shoot them off to keep the cart from getting damaged.

Ganados will also join the ride and shoot arrows at you. Use the infinite ammo Red9 to shoot them down.

Hop off at the end point and follow the path up to the next minecart. You can use the same strategy on this second trip, but make sure to prioritize taking out the Chainsaw Man that will try to hack your cart apart.

Get to the Lift

This ride takes you to the Hive area of the mines. After hopping off (literally), follow the path to the lift where the bridge will collapse. You'll now need to circle around the area to get to this lift that's almost within reach. Great.

Drop down the ledges and follow the path up ahead. There are some Novistadors camouflaged right in the middle of the pathways so be alert. The first room that you will come across has the Insect Hive request inside.

Keep circling around the Hive until you reach the lift. Ride the lift and get ready for the next battle.

Fight Krauser

Beat Krauser in a Knife Fight

This is a Knife fight so don't bring guns. This is cake if you already mastered the parrying mechanic as you can stagger Krauser this way and get a few slashes in. Keep an eye on the dodge prompts as well and perform a quick turn if he jumps behind you.

There are also Boot Knives and healing items in the platform you can pick up during the fight. Dealing enough damage starts a cutscene and completes the chapter.

Drop both Gigantes into the lava Focus on parrying Krauser

Drop Both Gigantes Into the Lava

You don't need to waste a lot of bullets to eliminate the two Gigantes halfway through the chapter. Try luring them to the center of the room and stagger them with weapons of your choice (which is only possible when their plagas are out).

Once they're in position, interact with the console next to the hatch and drop the stunned Gigante into the lava.

For the armored Gigante, you need to wait for Luis to latch a Dynamite into its back first and blow it up to expose the plaga. Stagger it the same way as the first one then drop it down the boiler room of hell.

Focus on Parrying Krauser

It's risky to swing your knife at random during your fight with Krauser as he can quickly counter you with his own. Focus on parrying or dodging his attacks first until he's staggered before attacking him.

Clockwork Castellan

You can find this Clockwork Castellan at the Stopover past the first minecart section of the chapter. Go inside the building and listen for the Castellan's distinct ticking noise to find it on a broken section of the roof.

Sapphire

Another Sapphire can be obtained in the Castle by shooting the container hanging from some iron beams at the dead end northwest of the Mines.

Golden Hourglass

Another Golden Hourglass can be obtained in the Castle from a treasure chest to the northeast in the room with the Dynamite.

Flagon

The Flagon in the Castle can be obtained from a treasure chest on the second floor of the Stopover.

Gold Bar (L)

A Gold Bar (L) can be obtained in the Castle from a treasure chest at the back of the cave northwest of the Hive.

Another Spinel can be obtained in the Castle by shooting down the container suspended from the scaffolding on the west side of the Mines.

The Illuminados Pendant can be obtained from a treasure chest on a desk in the corner of the room after defeating the two El Gigantes.

Chainsaw Man

First Chapter Appearance	Chapter 1

Chainsaw Man, also known as the Chainsaw Villager, is an elite enemy villager using a chainsaw as their weapon. Its chainsaw can block off bullets, so aim at a different spot, like its head and knees, to hit it.

Chainsaw Sisters

Chainsaw Sisters are villagers that uses red chainsaws in the village. They will appear at the same time, so use items and weapons that can hit them both during the first seconds of the battle to quickly kill them.
