A Savage Mutt is a Request found in the Village Chief's Manor area of Chapter 5 where you'll have to eliminate a wild dog in Resident Evil 4 Remake (RE4 Remake). Read on to find out the location of the Wild Dog in A Savage Mutt, where to find the Request, rewards, and tips on how to complete it!

A Savage Mutt Walkthrough
Gather Supplies Inside the Town Hall
After accepting the request, proceed through the door and inside the Town Hall near the Merchant. There will be a handful of supplies in this area so make sure to grab all the necessary ammo and medicines that you can find before proceeding.
Go to the House to the West
To return to the village, exit the first house, turn left and head straight towards the end of the path until you reach a house with an open window.
Climb through the window and immediately exit the house through the front door. You will then end up in the village where you'll be greeted by hordes of Ganados.
Head to the Manor in the Village
Look for a narrow path near the bonfire at the village. This small road leads to the manor where you can grab a few supplies such as herbs.
Leave the Manor and Go Back to the Gate to See the Dog
Upon entering the manor, you won’t find any dog inside despite the Strong Threat icon appearing, so head back outside through the front door.
Approach the gate and you’ll see the dog staring at you from the other side, and when you approach it will run toward the village. This confirms that you’re ready to head back to the village and face the dog, and the Strong Threat icon will move to the village accordingly.
Head Back to the Village and Fight the Dog
Take the same route back to the village and you'll encounter the dog that you're required to kill to complete the request.
Be prepared as the dog can put up quite a difficult fight as its tail can transform into a bladed scorpion tail that can attack you from a distance. Use the highest damaging gun that you have in your inventory to eliminate the dog with ease.

This request requires you to kill a wild dog located near the Village Chief's Manor. The dog is a lot tougher than the other enemy canines that you encounter throughout the course of the game, so complete preparation of supplies is recommended before hunting it down.

Use Flash Grenades and Shotguns for Close-Range
Throw Flash Grenades at the dog to stun it and use a close-range weapon that has the highest damaging capability to kill the dog.
Shotguns are very efficient for close-range combat and you can also get near the dog after stunning it with a flash grenade.
Aim for the Tail
The tail seems to be the weakest point of the dog, aim and shoot at the tail to deal the highest possible damage.
