Gather the Green Time Orbs in the Beginning
Time is a huge multiplier in the overall score in Mercenaries mode so gathering the green orbs is a priority. Gather them at the beginning of the stage to avoid the risk of having to break your combo count going after them in a later time.
Immediately Deal With the Catapults
On the castle stage, there would be four (4) catapults firing balls of fire. This could deal significant damage to Krauser if not destroyed. You can destroy the catapult by shooting them directly with the EJF-338 Compound Bow or by hitting the red explosive barrels beside them with either the bow or the TMP.
Krauser is the only Mercenary who can destroy the catapults directly without hitting the explosive barrel!
Use Knife Combo to Deal With Normal Enemies
Krauser's knife combo using Fighting Knife is extremely potent in dealing with normal enemies. This is the best strategy when using Krauser since killing enemies with knives give additional 4 seconds to the time limit. Furthermore, you won't have to bother with ammos when you're using knives!
Utilize the Knife Combo Dodge
Krauser will perform unique dodge at the beginning of his knife combo if you add a directional input. Utilize this to quickly cover more ground when rotating around the map, avoid enemy attacks, and position yourself when using the knife combo.
Use Mayhem Mode for Elite Enemies
Krauser has one of the best mayhem ability in the game, his monster transformation. This ability can kill elite enemies in a single blow. Activate his mayhem mode and use Stringer to quickly defeat the elite enemies that spawn. Avoid using TMP against these elite enemies since they have a ton of health!

Use Grenades When Surrounded
One of the disadvatages of using Krauser's knife combo is that you can be easily surrounded by enemies. In these situations, utilize the three (3) Flash Grenade in Krauser's case to stun enemies and escape the surrounding mob.
Position Near The Yellow Orb
Always know the positions of the yellow orb and stay near them if possible. This will allow you to activate your mayhem mode and quickly get out of sticky situations such as being surrounded by mobs or attacked by elite enemies.
