Use Handgun and Rifle During Mayhem Mode

Landing headshots during Mayhem Mode gives you a lot of points depending on how many bars you have filled up! Use your SG-09 R to get 5,000 or your Stingray to get 8,000 with each headshot. This will allow you to maximize the score that you get while using Mayhem. Using the Riot Gun while in Mayhem mode does not give Headshot Kill Bonus.
How to Deal with Shielded Zealots
If you do not have Mayhem Mode up, it can be difficult to deal with the Shielded Zealots quickly using your SG-09 R. You should use the Stingray instead to penetrate the shield.
Grenades and Shotgun Ammo are for Mobs
There are a lot of choke points in the castle and it can be difficult to maneuver around the enemies if you are chasing the Cultist Leader. Make sure that you save your Grenades and Riot Gun to clear the path.
Lift the Cannon Early
Since you will be starting on the lower floor, you can immediately run towards the cannon area to lift it before going up the stairs. Doing this will allow you to be prepared for the Garradors that will spawn later on. There is also a shortcut nearby where you can use the ladder to go straight up.
Use the Cannon to Kill Garradors
Garradors can be difficult to deal with if you are using Leon since you will have to position yourself behind them to deal damage. You can fire up to three cannon shots. Make sure that you use them to kill the Garradors that are going to spawn later on.
Destroy Catapults Using the Explosive Barrels
Make sure to shoot all of the explosive barrels on your way up to destroy all the catapults. Destroying the catapults gives you more time to breathe, especially if you are chasing the Cultist Leader. You can use the Stingray to snipe the explosive barrels from afar if you are having trouble shooting it using your SG-09 R.
