1: Exclusive Upgrade Tickets

Resident Evil 4 Remake - Exclusive Upgrade Ticket

Unlocking the Exclusive Upgrade for a weapon generally costs 60,000 to 100,000 pesetas on its own, and requires the weapon to have all other upgrades to purchase, for a combined total of 300,000 to 500,000 pesetas to fully upgrade a weapon.

The Exclusive Upgrade Tickets allows players to purchase Exclusive Upgrades while skipping unlocking all other upgrades, saving huge amounts of money and granting access to powerful weapon perks and bonuses early.

Although they're rather expensive at 30 Spinels for the first and 40 Spinels for the second, they're more than worth it so save up for these and buy them when you can.

2: Trade-Exclusive Weapon Parts

Resident Evil 4 Remake - Red9 Stock

The Merchant offers exclusive weapon parts in exchange for Spinels. If you have a weapon you regularly use which has an attachment available, consider spending a few Spinels to buy it as it can significantly improve the performance of one of your mainstays.

In particular, the Red9 Stock which helps improve the handgun's aim makes it significantly more usable in exchange for 9 Spinels.

3: Yellow Herb

Resident Evil 4 Remake - Yellow Herb

There's only one Yellow Herb available for Trade, but it's a cheap buy at only 3 Spinels. Yellow Herbs improve your health permanently and even carry over into New Game Plus, so you won't regret picking this up at some point.

4: Red or Black Attache Case

Resident Evil 4 Remake - Red Attache Case

Buying one of the Attache Cases is not a bad idea as having one will permanently improve your drop rate of either Red Herbs or Resources (L). Having more supplies will be a big help as you attempt higher difficulties like Hardcore and Professional. That said, at 12 Spinels, they're a bit pricey so only grab one if you have an abundance of Spinels at your disposal.

You won't need both, so pick the one for the resource you find yourself needing more often.

5: Treasure Maps for Exploration

BIOHAZARD RE_4 - Spinel Trades

If you wish to fully explore the world of RE4 Remake, you can trade in Spinels for Treasure Maps showing you all possible locations of treasure, with the exception of the DLC-exclusive hidden treasures.

Unfortunately, Treasure Maps do not carry over into New Game Plus, while your Spinels do carry over, so if you do purchase these, be sure to find all the Treasures in one playthrough.

6: Punisher and Matilda

BIOHAZARD RE_4 - Spinel Trades

The Punisher and Matilda are only available for trade from the Merchant, for 5 and 10 Spinels, respectively. While they have their strengths, there are several other choices of handguns available at each stage of the game, and there's never really a time where buying either of these will significantly change your playstyle, so it's safe to skip these and save your Spinels.

Best Handgun and Pistol

7: Treasures and Gunpowder

BIOHAZARD RE_4 - Spinel Trades

Lastly, the least priority for trading would be consumable items like Treasures and Gunpowder. These items reappear on each new playthrough, so it's possible to farm them by simply playing through the game additional times. Spinels don't come easy, so think long-term and save up for higher priority purchases!
