Chapter Objectives

Find a Clue on Luis's Whereabouts

Route Map

Find the Hidden Key and Open the Drawer

To find the clue on Luis, you need to look for the hidden key to open the drawer on Mendez's room. You can find it behind the picture frame near the bead curtain on the first floor of the Village Chief's Manor.

Head for the Abandoned Factory

Route Map

After obtaining the clue from the drawer on the second floor, you will need to make a quick escape from Mendez and the villagers surrounding the manor.

Flee From the Villagers

Exit the manor and turn left. You can then use your grappling hook to jump over the cliff. Continue following the path and use your grappling hook whenever possible to maintain your distance from Mendez until you successfully escape.

Enter the Abandoned Factory

After escaping from the villagers, you will find the merchant in front of you and the Jacket for All Trades request to your right. Continue heading south until you reach the Abandoned Factory. This area is full of villagers ready to attack, try to sneak by them and use your knife to perform stealth kills.

Search for Luis

Once inside the Abandoned Factory, a prompt will appear, allowing you to use the IRIS. This will help you track footprints and search for clues to locate Luis. Keep following the footprints until you reach the center of the Abandoned Factory. Here, you can obtain the Blast Crossbow, which can be useful later on. Head downstairs and inspect the cigarettes that luis left you to learn his radio frequency.

Leave the Abandoned Factory

After speaking with Luis and learning where to meet up, the Abandoned Factory will swarmed by villagers, including the Chainsaw Man and one of the Chainsaw Sister.

Defeat the Chainsaw Man and the Chainsaw Sister

Take it slow and try to engage the elite enemies one at a time. Start by using your Blast Crossbow to knockdown the Chainsaw Man and then switch to your TMP to shoot their head to deal massive damage. You can use this strategy against the Chainsaw Sister too. If you run out of Blast Arrows, you can use a Hand Grenade instead.

Alternatively, you can choose to skip the fight and simply escape the Abandoned Factory without engaging the enemies, as long as you can clear a path toward the exit.

How to Beat Chainsaw Man

Head for the Villa

Route Map

After Wesker saves you from the villagers, you will once again find yourself inside the Village Chief's Manor. This time, head north toward the villa, passing through the village square and the village farm. Use your handgun and melee attacks to fight your way through this area and to conserve ammo.

Defeat the El Gigante

When you reach the bridge connecting to the villa, it will start shaking, forcing you to turn back and face the El Gigante. During this fight, it is advisable to stay on high ground to avoid the El Gigante's grab attacks. Use your grappling hook to get to the roof and engage the boss from that position. If the El Gigante is preparing to attack the house, immediately swing across to the adjacent roof to avoid taking damage.

Complete the Jacket of All Trades Request

When meeting the merchant for the first time in this chapter, you can grab a blue paper near his location, unlocking the Jacket of All Trades request. This request is optional objective that you can complete to get Spinels as a reward, which can be traded with the merchant for new items.

Follow the Footprints

Using the Interactive Retinal Inquiry System (I.R.I.S.) you can follow the footprints to track Luis's whereabouts and look for hidden clues in the Abandoned Factory.

Pick Up the Blast Crossbow

You will be facing a Chainsaw Man and a Chainsaw Sister in this Chapter. This weapon will make the fight significantly easier due to its massive AOE damage. Make sure to grab it in the middle of the Abandoned Factory before proceeding to track Luis on the lower levels.

Avoid Combat As Much As Possible

In this chapter, there are areas where you can entirely avoid combat by either fleeing from the enemies or by using your knife to perform stealth kills. Utilize this strategy to your advantage to quickly progress through the chapter and to conserve ammunition.

How to Stealth Kill Enemies

Stay On the Roof

During the El Gigante fight, it is best that you stay on the high ground to prevent the El Gigante from grabbing you. Utilize your grappling hook to reach the rooftop and engage the boss from that position. You can transfer to the adjacent roof by standing on the edge and using your grappling hook to swing across.

Chapter 3 Completion Reward

After completing the third chapter of the Separate Ways DLC, you will be able to complete the Always a Step Behind and Giant Slayer challenges. Completing these challenges will reward you with CP, which you can use to purchase exclusive content from the Extras Shop.
