Players can pick up or purchase different kinds of Items in Resident Evil 4 Remake (RE4). Below is a list of all the Items in the game, including healing items, ammo, and more!

Recovery Items

Recovery items are consumables that restores your character's health. Each recovery item restores a different amount of health, with the exception of the Red Herb, which needs to be combined with a Green Herb first before it can be used for healing.

Rhinoceros Beetle	A rare species of insect that flew here from somewhere. Can be sold at a high price, and is not suitable to eat.	10,000
Viper	A medium-sized snake with a unique mottled pattern. If the poison glands are removed, it may be eaten. Can be used to restore health.	1,000
Yellow Herb	A yellow herb that increases your maximum health. The amount it increases by varies depending on what the herb is combined with it. It cannot be used by itself.	3,000

Ammo

Ammunition (or Ammo) are items that are loaded into your weapons. An ammo can be used on any weapon under its associated weapon type.

Crafting Materials

You can obtain crafting materials and use them to create ammo and other items. These items also take up space in the inventory, but you can combine them with other crafting materials to quickly free up space.

Throwable items are items that you can equip like weapons and throw at enemies to inflict damage or status effect.

Key items are unique items that can be obtained and used in progressing the story. Some key items become sellable when they run out of uses in your current playthrough.

How to Check Items

Open the Inventory

Pressing Triangle (for PS4/PS5) or TAB / I (for PC) opens your attache case so you can check the items that you currently have. You can also switch tabs to move to other screens such as the Key Items screen for key items and treasures and the Crafting screen for a list of craftable items and materials you own.
