Missing Daughter of the US President

Ashley is the daughter of the current President in the Resident Evil 4 timeline. She's kidnapped and held captive in a secluded village with nothing but only forests around it.

Leon is tasked to rescue Ashley, who he later finds while exploring the village. The two then work together to escape and fight back the hostile creatures lurking in the village.

Infected By Unknown Substance or Virus

Leon and Ashley's escape turns out not to be a simple task. It's revealed Ashley is infected by an unknown virus causing her body and personality to change. They have to get to the bottom of this before they can safely extract from the village.

Season-Appropriate Outfit in Remake

Ashley's outfit in the original Resident Evil 4 was a brown, sleeveless shirt with a reddish brown belt on her waist. It will be different in the remake as she will be wearing a brown jacket as a layer to match the season and her belt removed to complement her overall new outfit.

These changes are noticeable in all the recent trailers for Resident Evil 4 Remake.

In the original RE4, players can command Ashley to stay hidden in safe places or retreat to them by pressing specific button controls. Players can order Ashley to stay, move, or interact with objects together with Leon. This feature has remained almost the same in the remake.
