How to Kill Brute (Minotaur) |

Keep an eye out for elevated floors with ladders when encountering Brutes. You can use the ladder to your advantage by using a Pistol or Shotgun and shooting the Brute's head as its climbing which will result to the Brute falling down. The Brute does not adapt to this strategy, making it possible to repeat until the Brute is dead.
Note that not all Brute encounters have elevated floors with ladders, making this cheese strategy conditional. Players may also need to clear other mobs in the area for this strategy to work better.
Brute (Minotaur) still has some humanity (literally) left in him, so he's still weak against headshots. Shoot his head for a stagger and go for a quick melee attack to inflict more damage. You can also aim for his legs to bring him down for that melee prompt.
After dealing enough damage to a Brute (Minotaur) or staggering it through the tip above, it will be open for a melee attack. Be sure to take advantage of these chances to efficiently deal with a Brute (Minotaur) and potentially everyone around him.
Hand Grenades and Flash Grenades are a big help on countering a Brute (Minotaur)'s swiftness instantly. Throw one at him to deal damage then quickly move away to a safe space.
Whenever a Brute (Minotaur) gets close to you after rushing, it will swing or slam its hammer. Avoid this by following the prompt that shows on your screen.
How to Dodge and Avoid Attacks
Brute (Minotaur) can hit other mobs nearby, which means that players can use this as an advantage to save ammo. In Assisted difficulty, this instantly kills weak mobs like Ganados.
In the Island chapters of the game, brutes are now equipped with automatic crossbows that can shred through your health. We recommend taking cover then counter fire whenever the Brute is not in a firing position.
Players can stagger the Brute for some time if they shoot its mounted crossbow, this will ignite the brute on fire; giving players extra time to damage the brute.
