How to Open All Square Lock Boxes
Old Wayshrine Key

The Old Wayshrine Key will allow you to open the Wayshrines scattered around the map to receive treasures. The Old Wayshrine Key can be found in Chapter 4 after passing through the Mural Cave and before going on the motorboat.

Hunter's Lodge Key

The Hunter's Lodge Key can be found in the kitchen of the first building you encounter in the game in Chapter 1. It is used to open the vandalized door across the kitchen door.

The Insignia Key can be acquired at the end of Chapter 2 in the bedroom of the Village Chief's Manor at the second floor. It is used to open the gate across the manor and the chapel in the farm first encountered in Chapter 1.

The Churh Key can be acquired by solving a series of puzzles in two different locations on the map in Chapter 4. It is used to open the Church gate.
Dungeon Key

The Dungeon Key can be found near a dead corpse in the Dungeons during Chapter 7. It is used to open the door in the torture chamber.
Level 3 Keycard

The Level 3 Keycard is located in the Incubation Lab in Chapter 13. You'll first have to obtain a Level 1 Keycard, then upgrade the clearance to Level 2 before you finally receive the Level 3 clearance for the keycard.
This keycard is used to free Ashley from her holding cell towards the end of the chapter.
Luis's Key

The Luis's Key is obtained from a dying Luis as he imparts his final words to Leon after being severely wounded by Krauser in Chapter 11.
Water Scooter Key

The Water Scooter Key can be obtained from Ada as she leaves the island on her extraction chopper in the last chapter of the game. It is used for the water scooter located in the escape tunnel during the final sequence.
