How to Get SG-09 R
Unlocked By Default
The SG-09 R handgun weapon is unlocked by default. It will become accessible, along with your whole inventory, after your first fight with the Ganado during the cutscene in the Hunter's Lodge.

Is the SG-09 R Worth It?
Depends on Player Preference
The SG-09 R is outshone by the other handguns in Resident Evil 4 Remake. However, it is the only handgun that plays on Critical hits. If you enjoy getting critical hits when doing headshots, then the SG-09 R is a weapon to upgrade for you.
How to Use SG-09 R
Use at Close to Mid-Range Encounters
SG-09 R is a good weapon to use at close to mid-range distances because of its accuracy and power. It's also better to use on normal or weaker mobs instead of your better guns, as it's easy to get and craft its ammo.
Stun Enemies and Go for a Melee Attack
SG-09 R also has the power to stun an enemy for a short time, allowing you to a follow-up melee attack for extra damage while saving up some ammo. However, do note that it might take a while or not work even on stronger enemies.
