How to Kill Garrador |
---|
|
The Garrador has a Plaga on its back, which is its sole weakness. Hitting the Garrador with a Shotgun at close range or explosive on the back can prove fatal, so make sure to have them in your inventory if you're planning to hunt one!
Sprinting makes enough noise for the Garrador to detect you. Try to walk or crouch while moving, so you can sneak up behind it safely. Use that chance to shoot it or escape when needed as well!
If your knife is still in good shape, you can consider going for a stealth attack for an easier, safer, and faster kill. You can do that by crouching and walking behind its back while avoiding objects that make sounds, like chains.
Garrador will stagger from a stealth attack so use that chance to shoot it with a Shotgun or any powerful weapon, like a Magnum or Sniper Rifle.
How to Stealth Kill Enemies
You can use the surrounding objects to create some noise and distract the Garrador. It can be from metal clanking sounds or explosives. Grab the opportunity then to deal damage while the Garrador runs in the direction of the sound.
You will encounter two Garradors and multiple Zealots as you explore the castle. You can use the Garradors to take out other enemies in the area by making a sound toward them. A shot from a handgun will suffice!
The Bolt Thrower doesn't make any sound when you use it. Garrador won't be able to detect you as you shoot him using the Bolt Thrower. You can even attach mines to it to deal further damage!
This makes it the best weapon to use for the double Garrador fight in Chapter 10.
Bolt Thrower Location, Weapons Stats, and Upgrades
When you try to use a Flash Grenade under normal circumstances, the best it will do is stun the Garrador for a few moments. However, if you use it when the Plaga inside a Garrador is exposed, it will receive a huge amount of damage!

Achievements List and Trophy Guide
After falling underneath the wooden floor, walk towards the gate that will lead you back up. Before turning the wheel to open the gate, throw a Flash Grenade towards the direction of the Garrador.
This will stun the Garrador and give you time to fully open the gate and skip the fight.
