Keep Harpooning Its Back

The only weapon you can use in this boss fight is the unlimited harpoon from the boat. Guns and grenades are unusable, but you can still use healing items like First Aid Spray, herbs, and eggs.

Keep throwing harpoons at Del Lago's back as it drags you around the lake to whittle the lake monster's health.

Avoid the Floating Debris

There are floating objects scattered around the lake that Del Lago will try to slam you into. Don't forget to steer the boat away from these as you pin the lake monster with harpoons to avoid taking damage.

Aim For Its Mouth

Aim accurately on its mouth when it starts charging at you. Being its weakpoint, you'll deal more damage by harpooning Del Lago's mouth. This is also necessary to keep Del Lago from ramming into your boat.

Steer Sideways If It Suddenly Dives

This is Del Lago's most dangerous attack as it happens quickly and you'll need to act accordingly. While you're getting dragged around, the lake monster may suddenly dive down and immediately leap at you. Quickly drop the harpoon and steer sideways to avoid this attack.

Floating Debris

Del Lago will try to knock you off the boat by pulling you into floating debris around the lake. Pay attention to these objects even as you're attacking Del Lago with harpoons.

Ramming Attack

Del Lago will break free from the roped harpoon from time to time and swim around you in circles before charging at your boat. You'll need to aim for its mouth while it's wide open to keep the lake monster from ramming your boat.

Leaping Chomp

Del Lago dives down and leaps at the boat. This attack deals heavy damage and should be avoided by reacting quickly and steering sideways.
