Ada becomes available in Mercenaries mode after the Separate Ways DLC Update. Note that you do not have to purchase the said DLC to unlock her in Mercenaries mode.

Ada's Mayhem Mode increases both her speed and attack power. All your weapons will significantly deal stronger damage and stagger while you have this ability active.
It's best to use Ada's Mayhem Mode when you're surrounded by enemies or about to face off with an elite enemy. The increase in her speed and attack power guarantees that you can deal with groups of enemies even with just your handgun.
