Can You Reroll the Charm Gacha?

Charms Will Always Appear in the Same Pattern

Resident Evil 4 Remake - Merchant Epic Charm.png

The Charms resulting from the Token gacha at a Shooting Range are not random. If you try to load from a save and insert the same Tokens again, the same Charm will result.

If you insert a different combination of Tokens, a different Charm will come out, but the pattern will always be the same. For example, let’s say you put in 2 golds and 1 silver and got a Don Diego. If you reload your save and put in 2 silvers and 1 gold instead, you might get a Chicken instead. But then, if you put in 2 golds and 1 silver next, you’ll get a Don Diego just like before. Note that the order the three Tokens are inserted does not matter.

The Charm Gacha's Pattern Can Be Exploited

Although you can’t simply reroll indefinitely to find the best Charms, you can take advantage of this to avoid Charms you don’t want and try to find the best combination of Charms from the Tokens you have. Be sure to save your game before you spend your Tokens in order to try a different combination if you’re ever not happy with the result.

How to Roll for the Best Charms

Save Up Tokens and Test Patterns

The more Silver and Gold Tokens you have, the more patterns you can potentially test in one go. Save up until you can test a few possible combinations and find a Charm you really want to use.

For example, if you have only 4 Silver Tokens and 2 Gold Tokens, there are only two possible variations, yielding 4 possible Charms, so your pool of options is limited.

Reload 1 2 Silver + 1 Gold 2 Silver + 1 Gold
Reload 2 3 Silver 1 Silver + 2 Gold

However, if you have 8 Silver Tokens and 4 Gold Tokens, you can test for 9 possible Charms at once.

Reload 1 2 Silver + 1 Gold 2 Silver + 1 Gold 2 Silver + 1 Gold 2 Silver + 1 Gold
Reload 2 1 Silver + 2 Gold 1 Silver + 2 Gold 3 Silver 3 Silver
Reload 3 3 Gold - - -

Use this method to find out which pattern of Tokens you need to insert to get the Charm you want, and save the rest for later testing!
