While crossing the bridge in the gallery section in Chapter 9, an enemy will pop out of a corner and pull a lever that lowers the bridge, exposing you to an ambush of enemies. You can skip this gallery bridge lowering by killing that enemy before the cutscene of it popping out and pulling the lever.
To kill this enemy, you'll need to use your Bolt Thrower to shoot an Attachable Mine behind the corner where the enemy is. This is the most guaranteed way to stop the enemy, but Grenades will work as well.

You can input the correct time on the Grandfather Clocks when you encounter them to skip a sizable part of Ashley's section where she looks for the answer to the puzzle. Set the time to 11:04 in Assisted or Standard Difficulty, and 7:00 in Hardcore or Professional.
How to Speed Through Ashley Library Section
If you bring Ashley to the Shooting Range, she will sit on a barrel as she waits for you. Her pose is a reference to a promotional image released for the original game where she poses the same way.
