What Carries Over in New Game Plus

Most Items

Carries Over Does Not Carry Over
✔︎ Weapons and weapon collection progress
✔︎ Weapon Upgrades
✔︎ Items
✔︎ Crafting Recipes
✔︎ Tokens
✔︎ Treasures in your inventory
✔︎ Merchant Stock
✔︎ Pesetas and Spinels
✔︎ Clockwork Castellans
✔︎ Yellow Herb Health Upgrades
✔︎ Request completion progress
✔︎ Game Save Count
✔︎ Total Play Time
✖︎ Difficulty Setting
✖︎ Files
✖︎ Key Items
✖︎ Request completion status (separate from completion progress)
✖︎ Treasure Maps (must be repurchased)
✖︎ Treasure collection status
✖︎ Challenge run progress

The majority of your Items will carry over, as well as your progress in collecting Clockwork Castellans. However, Key Items and Files need to be collected from scratch.

Each Weapon is only obtainable once, so the Weapon collection progress will be maintained and weapons won't appear in their original positions.

Any Requests you have already done are treated as completed for the purposes of the Jack of All Trades trophy, but can still be repeated in the new game in exchange for Spinels. Also, your progress in regards to challenge run trophies like Frugalist (never use any recovery items), Minimalist (only use knives and handguns), and Silent Stranger (never talk to the Merchant) will not be carried over, so you don't have to worry about if doing these actions on a previous playthrough will affect your ability to get them in New Game Plus.

New Game Plus Differences

Infinite Rocket Launcher for Sale

Infinite Rocket Launcher.png

In a New Game Plus file, the Merchant will sell an Infinite Rocket Launcher for 2,000,000 ptas. This is one of the Bonus Weapons needed to unlock the Gun Fanatic trophy, so you'll need to save up across multiple New Game Plus playthroughs to afford it. However, you can obtain it for a discount of 1,600,000 pesetas if you have the Leon w/ Rocket Launcher charm.

How to Unlock All Bonus Weapons

Merchant Appears in Chapter 1

In the first playthrough, the Merchant doesn't appear for the first time until the start of Chapter 2. However, in New Game Plus, he will appear right after escaping the house for the first time in Chapter 1, with full access to everything he had at the end of your initial playthrough.
