Teaser Trailer Released May 2023

The first teaser trailer of Resident Evil 4 Remake's VR Mode was released during the May 2023 PlayStation Showcase! It depicts the initial Village fight sequence in Chapter 1 in the all-new first-person POV.

VR Support Release Date

Winter 2023

Resident Evil 4 VR Mode

Resident Evil 4 VR Mode will officially release in the winter of 2023. The VR mode will launch as a free update for PlayStation VR 2, but the official Resident Evil JP Twitter account announced in February that the mode would also launch on PlayStation 5.

The VR mode was confirmed to be in development around June 2022.

First-Person Mode

The release of Resident Evil 4 Remake is going to be in a standard Third-Person Mode. However, with the upcoming VR Mode, you will be able to play in First-Person Mode, similar to the Resident Evil 4 VR released in 2021 for the Oculus Quest 2. The VR release was an updated version of the original Resident Evil 4 that was released back in 2005.

VR Headset and Sense Controller

Instead of using a keyboard and mouse or a regular controller, you will be able to play the game with a VR Headset and Sense Controller. This will allow you to have a more immersive experience playing Resident Evil 4 Remake.
