Get Rank A or Higher in Any Stage as Luis

Krauser is unlocked as a playable character by getting Rank A or higher in any stage by playing as Luis. Rank A requires a score of at least 100,000.

How to Use Krauser

Strength: Strong Knife Combo

Krauser's knife combo is superior compared to other Mercenaries characters. Due to stronger knife power and durability, Krauser's knife attacks can continuously deal with enemies without breaking combo count.

Strength: Knife kills increase time limit

In Mercenaries, killing an enemy using knives will increase the time limit by 4 seconds. Krauser can take advantage of this due to his strong knife combo.

Strength: Strong Mayhem Ability

Krauser's mayhem ability is strong against both normal and elite enemies. This is particularly useful when you are surrounded as it can defeat most enemies in a single blow.

However, upon activating the mayhem ability, the mayhem gauge will significantly deplete. Keep this in mind when you time your mayhem ability against elite enemies since you only have about a couple hits.

Krauser is a strong character on any stage because he doesn't have any enemies to counter him. In particular, you can easily deal with shielded enemies, which is difficult to do with other Mercenaries characters.

Krauser Abilities

Transform into a Monster

Krauser's Mayhem Mode is unleashed by pressing L3 + R3 / LS + RS at the same time. During Mayhem Mode, Krauser releases the Las Plagas blades from his arms and is then able to attack with them. Using R2 / RT performs a series of combo attacks, while L2 + R2 / LT + RT will perform a mid-range stinger attack.

When to Use Krauser's Mayhem Mode

Krauser's Mayhem Mode is best used when surrounded by enemies. The rest of your weapons should pick off enemies at mid-to-far-range, but when a horde of enemies get too close to you, thin out their ranks by unleashing Mayhem Mode. Leave your explosive arrows for tough enemies and mini-bosses.
