The best character is Krauser in the Castle Stage, Hunk in the Village, and Island Stage for Resident Evil 4 Remake Mercenaries. Read on to learn which is the best character to use in each of the stages available and how to use them.

Mayhem Mode Ability Infinite Ammo

The Chainsaw Man and Chainsaw Sisters are fast when they are chasing you. Using the Compound Bow on Krauser may take some time to load up and aim, making it a bit harder to react. If you are using Hunk, you can use the LE 5 to deal with them easily.

Utilizing the Village Square

Since Village Square has an open area, you can easily run away in any direction to avoid getting overwhelmed by incoming enemies. Use this to your advantage to score more points without endangering yourself.

Mayhem Mode to Kill Elites

The Chainsaw Man and Chainsaw Sisters can easily be dealt with because of the high fire rate of the LE 5. You can easily stagger and kill them by shooting them for a couple of seconds with your Mayhem Ability.

Best Character in Castle

Mayhem Mode Ability Transform into a Monster

What makes the Castle stage extremely difficult are the Garradors that you will encounter throughout the run. Using Krauser, you can easily deal with them using the Compound Bow to deal damage to them without aiming at their backs. You can also use your Mayhem Ability to transform and deal damage!

Compound Bow Makes No Sound

Using the Compound Bow does not make any sound. This makes the run a lot easier without having to position yourself behind the Garradors to kill them.

Cannon Can Be Used to Clear Enemies

Since you have a way to deal with the Garradors that will spawn, you can use the cannon to deal with the enemies that are swarming the area.

Use Stinger Near the End of Mayhem Mode

Using Stinger after triggering Mayhem Mode immediately ends it. Make sure to only use combo attacks first and then use the Stinger near the end of Mayhem Mode to maximize your damage potential.

Best Character in Island

Use Hunk in The Island

Killing 150 enemies is easy with Hunk's Mayhem Ability (Infinite Ammo). Since the remaining time is multiplied by 1,000 after reaching 150 kills, you can get over 1,000,000 points to get the S++ rank using Hunk.

Hand Grenades Kills Plagas

Unlike other characters, Hunk has three Hand Grenades in his loadout. You can use this to deal with elite enemies (Brutes) that will spawn. You can also use this to clear a path if you are overwhelmed without your Mayhem Ability. This also immediately kills the Plagas that are attached to the soldiers that you encounter.

Use the Turret as Additional Ammo

Turret.png
Hunk only has the LE 5 as his weapon, you can easily run out of bullets if you are not careful with your aim and the use of your Mayhem Ability. You can use the turrets in the area to clear some of the enemies if you are running out of ammo.
