In general, we recommend prioritizing spending your Pesetas on Attache Case Upgrades. Each Attache Case Upgrade increases your carrying capacity, allowing you to fit more weapons and resources into your inventory and making it a worthwhile purchase every time.
Best Inventory and Attache Case Loadout
We also recommend prioritizing saving your Pesetas for new weapons you'd like to try and upgrades for the weapons you're currently using. Improving your firepower will give you an easier time taking down and dealing with the game's deadly enemies.

Red9 | Riot Gun | SR M1903 | TMP |

Whenever you buy a new weapon, you should also buy its corresponding ammo recipe. You cannot directly purchase ammunition from the Merchant, so these recipes will be your only source of consistent ammo outside of looting them from stages and dead enemies.
Make it a habit to scan through the Merchant's entire stock whenever you visit him, as he may have limited-time deals that allow you to save Pesetas, such as free attachments when purchasing a new gun.
We suggest refraining from buying First Aid Sprays unless necessary, as healing items can often be found as drops from enemies, barrels, and cabinets. In addition, purchasing these Sprays too often could also prevent you from saving enough to buy more valuable weapons, resources, and upgrades.
Your knife is most likely going to be your most used tool throughout the game because of its versatility in eliminating enemies and saving your life from fatal attacks. It is therefore recommended to prioritize knife durability over power.
Knife Durability: Do Knives Break?
The Red9 can be picked up for free as early as Chapter 4. You can never go wrong upgrading it the moment you get it because it can carry you until the end of the game. Try to always upgrade its Power first to maximize damage output.
All Exclusive Upgrades and Perks
The Stingray is another weapon that you can get early on during Chapter 7 that can last you until the later chapters. It is also worth upgrading as soon as you get it when you have the money. As with the Red9, prioritize upgrading Power first. It is also the top tier pick for rifles in the game.
