In the Resident Evil 4 Remake (RE4), you can disarm active tripwires by shooting the mine attach to them and even use the mine to damage enemies. Read on to learn how to disarm or use tripwires in the remake!

You can disarm Tripwires by getting close and interacting with it. Doing so leaves the explosive intact, allowing you to shoot it later when needed.
Disarming a Tripwire by interacting with it allows you to freely move in that area, giving you an opportunity to lure groups of enemies towards the explosive, then shooting it to kill your enemies quickly.
When you encounter a tripwire, you'll see that there's a mine attached at the end of it. You'll be able to disarm the tripwire by shooting the mine.
Disarming a Tripwire by shooting the mine causes it to explode, so remember to keep your distance!
When disarming tripwires with this method, avoid using your primary gun and instead use a sidearm or a weapon with abundant ammo to prevent wasting precious bullets.
You can use the explosion from the tripwires to your advantage! Just lure an enemy into the tripwire, retreat to a safe distance, then shoot the mine as they approach it.
It's recommended to use these and other bombs to kill enemies more efficiently and with less ammo.
The best way to avoid tripwires is by always keeping an eye on your surroundings. Stay alert for floating lines and mines attached to pillars or trees.
