Sell Treasures at the Merchant

Resident Evil 4 Remake - Treasure Sells for High Price
Your primary way of making money in the Resident Evil 4 Remake is by selling treasures. These items are valuable and often combinable items that serve only the purpose of being sold at high prices.

Treasures are usually hidden in areas that are easy to miss, so don't hesitate to pick up Treasure Maps from the Merchant using Spinels and follow our guides below to find all treasures in the game!

Combine Treasures Together

Resident Evil 4 Remake - Combine Treasures Together
You can increase the money you get from selling specific treasures by combining them with gemstones. In general, the best gems to use are Red Beryls and Yellow Diamonds, as they have the highest base price of all gemstones.

In addition, you should prioritize aiming for same-color combinations, as they generally reward the highest gemstone bonus outside of Five Colors' max multiplier.

List of Treasure Combinations

Aim for the Astute Appraiser Achievement

Maximizing your gemstone combinations will allow you to reach selling prices of 100,000 Pesetas and higher, unlocking the Astute Appraiser achievement. You can get this achievement by using an Elegant Crown and aiming for Duo and Trio, Quintet, or Five Colors bonuses.

Equip the Gold Attache Case

Case Details

Where to Find: Available as Pre-Order Bonus.

If you're looking for additional money drops, we recommend equipping the Attache Case: Gold. This case increases the drop rate of Pesetas, letting you passively rake in more money as you loot dead enemies and break open wooden crates and boxes.

Sell Duplicate and Excess Charms

Resident Evil 4 Remake Charms

You can also sell any duplicate charms you collect from the Shooting Range minigame. You can't equip more than one of the same charms at a time, so you can safely sell excess charms off at the Merchant.

Open Locked Drawers with Small Keys

Resident Evil 4 Remake - Castle Battlements Locked Drawer World View

We also suggest looking for Small Keys and opening every Locked Drawer you come across. Opening these cabinets rewards you with various treasures which you can sell for large amounts of money at the Merchant.

Sell Unused Weapons and Ammo

Resident Evil 4 Remake - Sell Unused Weapons and Ammo

As you purchase stronger weapons and finalize your loadout while progressing through the game, don't hesitate to sell your unused guns and ammo. While it may seem inefficient to do so, the resale value of weapons and ammo is relatively high and will help you upgrade your newer guns.

If you want to make selling your unused weapons and ammo even more efficient, you should equip the Leon w/ Shotgun and Luis Sera Charms before selling them to the Merchant, as they increase the resale value of these items.

Sell Off Excess Rare Recovery Items

Resident Evil 4 Remake - Rhinoceros Beetle In-Game

Rhinoceros Beetle
+100% recovery item resale value.

Considering you don't need to use all Yellow Herbs and Rhinoceros Beetles to reach maximum health, you can sell them off at the Merchant for a large amount of money.

In particular, we recommend crafting Mixed Herb (G+R+Y) with your excess Yellow Herbs and selling them with the Rhinoceros Beetle Charm equipped for 20,000 Pesetas each. However, you should only sell your other herbs if you have a surplus of healing items or need extra inventory space!

Best Charms to Equip

Loot Dead Enemies

Enemy Drop.png
Enemies usually drop money on death, so you should always check dead bodies for dropped Pesetas and other items. In addition, some of the more difficult enemies in the game can drop gemstones after you take them down. For example, Chainsaw Men often drop Emeralds on death, making them a relatively consistent source of money and gems.

List of All Enemies and Monsters

Destroy Wooden Crates

Resident Evil 4 Remake - Destroy Wooden Crates
We recommend exploring every area thoroughly and destroying all wooden crates and barrels you find. These destructible objects often contain money, ammo, Gunpowder, and other crafting materials which help you get through the game's numerous chapters.

Kill Nearby Crows

Crows.png
Like enemies, crows can drop Pesetas and other useful items like ammo, gemstones, and grenades on death. If you have the ammo to spare, don't hesitate to kill every crow you find!

Use Flash Grenades Against Flocks of Crows

When dealing with groups of crows, it's better to use a Flash Grenade to take out all of them at once. In addition, killing three crows with a single Flash Grenade counts for the Shield Your Eyes Trophy.

How to Farm Money in NG+

Purchase and Sell First Aid Sprays

Chapter 16 Assisted Chapter 2 Hardcore

In Assisted difficulty, at the last Merchant in Chapter 16, store most of your weapons and sell excess items in your inventory aside from what you need to defeat Saddler. Then purchase all the First Aid Sprays you can for 3,000 ptas. each.

Reach the Merchant in Chapter 1 of the succeeding Hardcore NG+ playthrough outside the hunter's lodge after jumping out the window. Sell all the First Aid Sprays for 5,000 ptas. each or 10,000ptas. each if you have the Rhinoceros Beetle Charm which increases the resale value of recovery items by 100%.

How to Farm Money in the Demo

Kill The Chainsaw Man

In the Demo, the Chainsaw Man drops 3,000 Pesetas when killed. However, in the Mad Chainsaw Mode, the Chainsaw Man will drop 10,000 Pesetas instead.

If you can defeat 2 Chainsaw Men in the village before the bell rings, you can collect at least 20,000 Pesetas, which can give you an Excellent score in the demo.

How to Spawn 2 Chainsaw Men

RE4R - force spawning the Chainsaw Man
Now, how do you spawn two different Chainsaw Men in the demo? As soon as you enter the village and alert its evil residents, run towards the northeast corner of the map, through the path by the tower, to spawn the first Chainsaw Man. The cutscene of his entrance will trigger as soon as you get close to the gate.

To spawn the second Chainsaw Man, enter the house across the tower (where the W-870 is) to trigger another cutscene.
