You will fight Armored El Gigante again as you progress in the story. There will be no Cannons to use on that encounter, but you will get some help from Luis.

Use Wooden Walls as Shield

You only need to run to the Cannon and use it on this first encounter to end it. As you go to the Cannon, the Armored El Gigante will start throwing objects at you. You can avoid getting hit by hiding behind the wooden walls around the area. Do it repeatedly until you reach the cannon.

Use the Cannon to Attack

Once you get to the cannon near the Armored El Gigante, rotate it to face the Armored El Gigante and shoot. A successful hit will instantly end the battle and you can then proceed to the next area.

Aim for the Head

El Gigante is unprotected by armor in the head. Aim for that weak point to stagger and deal significant damage against Armored Gigante. You can only do this on your second fight against Armored El Gigante.
