Get the Cubic Device in Chapter 9

To open every Square Lock Box you come across, you first need to get the Cubic Device in Chapter 9. You can find it in a chest in the L-shaped hallway between the Armory and the Grand Hall.

Rotate the Cubic Device to Fit Locks

Once you've obtained the Cubic Device, you have to manually twist and turn the box so that it can fit the lock of every Square Lock Box. Take your time and pay close attention to the Device's grooves and the shape of the locks, and you should be able to open every Square Lock Box with ease.

All Square Lock Box Locations

Chapter 9 - South of Grand Hall

Reward: Butterfly Lamp (6,000 Pesetas)

You can access a Square Lock Box inside the room with the Merchant south of the Grand Hall in Chapter 9. Unlocking this box rewards you with the Butterfly Lamp treasure, which sells for 6,000 Pesetas.

Chapter 9 - Audience Chamber

Reward: Justitia Statue (12,000 Pesetas)

You can find another Square Lock Box in the northwestern section of the Audience Chamber. Unlocking this box rewards you with the Justitia Statue treasure, which sells for 12,000 Pesetas.

Chapter 10 - South of the Library

Reward: CQBR Assault Rifle

You can access another Square Lock Box south of the Library in Chapter 10, between two mounted animal skulls. Opening this lock box rewards you with the powerful CQBR Assault Rifle.

Chapter 10 - North of the Library

Reward: Golden Lynx (15,000 Pesetas)

You can also find a Square Lock Box past the north side of the Library. Unlocking this box rewards you with the Golden Lynx treasure, which sells for 15,000 Pesetas.

Chapter 12 - Throne Room

Reward: Gold Chicken Egg (9,000 Pesetas + completes Egg Hunt Request)

The last Square Lock Box you can find is inside the Throne Room in Chapter 12. Opening this lock box rewards you with a Gold Chicken Egg. If you missed getting a Gold Chicken Egg for the Egg Hunt Request back in Chapter 4 and you still have the Request, you can sell this egg to complete it.

Although you first reach the Throne Room in Chapter 10, you'll start the boss fight immediately upon entering, making the item unobtainable until Chapter 12. From the start of Chapter 12, you'll be able to return to the area by circling back and passing through the main route of Chapter 10 again.
