Resident Evil 4 Remake - What Happened to the Dog

In the Resident Evil 4 Remake, the dog that originally showed up early in the original game now appears later in Chapter 3. Read on to learn what happens to the trapped dog and how it differs from the original!

What Happened to the Dog?

The Dog Appears Later in Chapter 3

In the Chainsaw Demo, players thought that the trapped dog right before the village was the same dog you could rescue near the start of Chapter 1 in the original game.

However, the real trapped dog shows up later in Chapter 3, where you can save it and have it as an ally during the El Gigante boss fight in Chapter 4.

In the original 2005 game, you could rescue a dog from a bear trap as an optional choice near the start of the game in Chapter 1! If you chose to save the dog, it would come back to help you later on, towards the end of Chapter 2, during the first El Gigante fight.
