Albert Wesker appears in a post-credits scene in Resident Evil 4 Remake. He is shown to be a puppetmaster, having hired multiple characters you encounter in the game.
Resident Evil 4 Remake Post-Credits Scene Explained
As of the April 7 release of Mercenaries, Albert Wesker is not a playable character in the DLC mode. However, it's possible he may be added as a playable character in the future, given that he was a playable character in the original.

Jack Krauser turned to Albert Wesker after Leon and Jack completed the Operation: Javier mission. Jack follows Albert Wesker's orders as he believes that he can regain his strength with the villain.

Similar to the original RE4, Ada Wong is revealed to be working for Albert Wesker to retrieve a virus found in the village where Leon must rescue Ashley. However, finding out his plans with the virus, Ada Wong betrays him in the end.
In the original game, Separate Ways, a side campaign, further explores Ada's motivations and relationship with Wesker during the events of Resident Evil 4. While a remake of Separate Ways has been teased as an upcoming DLC for Resident Evil 4 Remake, nothing has been confirmed.
