The Charms resulting from the Token gacha at a Shooting Range are not random. If you load a save and insert the same Tokens again, the resulting Charms will be the same. The order the three Tokens are inserted does not matter.
You can take advantage of this exploit to avoid Charms you don’t want, to try to find the best Charms for you, and to save your tokens for the next shooting range you encounter.
Can You Reroll the Charm Gacha?
The first major combat encounter in the Village Square area in Chapter 1 of Resident Evil 4 Remake can be avoided on a New Game Plus playthrough. Shoot the church bell on the far side of the village to trigger the next cutscene earlier, immediately ending the fight.
How to Skip the First Village Fight
In the Farm in Chapter 1, you can throw a Hand Grenade through the window into the room with the Wooden Cog. This will break open the lock from the inside, which allows you to simply walk in and get the Wooden Cog, without having to go through long way.
Instead of exiting down the window at the start of Chapter 5, you can go down by glitching through the wall and leaving Ashley behind. Enemies won't be able to reach Ashley and you can progress while evading enemies without her.
Ashlley will spawn as soon as you reach the bridge leading to the house where Luis is hiding.
Note: This only works on Assisted, Standard, and Hardcore difficulties.
Update 4/23: This scope glitch has been fixed as of the Ver. 1.05 update and will no longer work. |
In Chapter 5, you can skip the area where the Chainsaw Sisters fight occurs. Head to the back of the house by shooting the locked gate. Walk backwards into the side of the house, from left to right, while using your scope to aim down at the ground.
If you pause and load your most recent autosave while doing this, you should load into the wall. Go through the wall and head south of the Checkpoint area, where you can come out of the wall right beside the Chainsaw Sisters, who will not attack you.
Note: This only works on Assisted, Standard, and Hardcore difficulties.
Update 4/23: This scope glitch has been fixed as of the Ver. 1.05 update and will no longer work. |
You can skip the Mendez boss fight in Chapter 6 by using the autosave and sniper scope glitch. Note that you can't earn the Grilled Big Cheese achievement doing this, so it's only worth doing only after your first playthrough.
To do this, you need to go up the stairs and come back down once Ashley starts speaking. Head to the first 5 steps of the stairs, then aim your scope to the railings while going to the left. Stop moving once you're near the first step and then load your autosave. After loading, you will be glitched into the wall and you can start walking through it.
You can walk past the Mendez boss fight and head straight to the Castle.
There is an area in Chapter 7 where you'll need to use a cannon to blast through a door and several enemies. Normally, you'll need to explore the area to gain access to the room of the cannon, where you can shoot the weight holding it down and raise it to a location where it can be used.
However, on the way to the area, there are windows where you'll already be able to see the weight. Shoot it from there, raising the cannon earlier and skipping the exploration of the area.
A section in Chapter 8 will require you to pull a series of switches marked with sun and moon icons to get to the next area. The gate blocking your path on the second floor is being held by a weighted object from the outside that you can't see. However, you can shoot in the general direction of the weight to hit it, opening the gate, and allowing you to skip the switches.
How to Skip the Sun and Moon Switches
In the Gallery in Chapter 9, you can skip a fight involving a large group of enemies. This fight triggers when an enemy pulls a lever that lowers the bridge. Kill the enemy before they can pull the lever to skip the encounter.

In Chapter 9, you will encounter two Grandfather Clocks that need to be set at the correct time to open a passageway. If you already know the answer, you can input the correct time on the Grandfather Clocks when you encounter them without looking for the puzzle solution to skip a sizable part of Ashley's section. Set the time to 11:04 in Assisted or Standard Difficulty, and 7:00 in Hardcore or Professional.
How to Speed Through Ashley Library Section
At the start of Chapter 11, your path will be blocked by an obstruction. To get through it, you'll need to find some dynamite that is located in a nearby area full of enemies. You can skip this set of enemies and getting the dynamite altogether if you have an RPG. Use it to blast the obstruction and open up the path for you and Luis.
You can skip the automatic turret lasers on the Island by either having an enemy walk in front of the laser or having an enemy knock you behind the laser. This can be done in Chapter 13 with a Brute walking in front of the laser and in Chapter 15 with a Novistador spawning to knock you behind the laser.
How to Skip Automatic Turret Lasers
In the Cargo Depot section of the Island in Chapter 14, you'll have to protect Ashley as she destroys a wall with a wrecking ball. To skip most of this section, simply use an RPG directly on the crack in the wall. This will greatly weaken the wall, so that only 1 additional hit from the wrecking ball will immediately destroy the wall.

In Assisted difficulty, at the last Merchant in Chapter 16, store most of your weapons and sell excess items in your inventory aside from what you need to defeat Saddler. Then purchase all the First Aid Sprays you can for 3,000 ptas. each.
Reach the Merchant in Chapter 1 of the succeeding Hardcore NG+ playthrough outside the hunter's lodge after jumping out the window. Sell all the First Aid Sprays for 5,000 ptas. each or 10,000ptas. each if you have the Rhinoceros Beetle Charm which increases the resale value of recovery items by 100%.
