Remove the Helmet and Shoot the Plaga
You can expose the Plaga on an Armadura by removing its helmet with weapons, explosives or melee prompt. A single shot of Shotgun can remove them quickly and reveal the Plaga.
Shoot the Plaga once it's been exposed to kill the Armadura. A Shotgun or Magnum can easily take them out in one shot.
Note that although you can see the Plaga sprouting from an Armadura's Neck, shooting it, or using a flashbang doesn't kill the Armadura; removing its helmet is the most efficient strategy.
Use Flash Grenade when the Plaga is Exposed
Flash Grenade can instantly kill enemies, like Armadura or Colmillos, once their Plaga is exposed. It is best to use it when there's a lot of Armadura following you, provided that most, if not all, have exposed Plaga.
Utilize Melee Prompts
Dealing enough damage to an Armadura causes it to kneel, open for a melee prompt; make sure to take advantage of this as it deals high damage against these creatures.
Stop the Movement with Blue Light or Fire
Armadura is weak against the Blue Light or Blue Fire. Use that chance to damage them during the Chimera Puzzle as Ashley throws the lantern containing them.
During Ashley's gameplay, you can use the Blue Light or fire to freeze them and escape as you try to figure out a way to help Leon.
Use a Fully Upgraded Broken Butterfly
If you have a fully upgraded Broken Butterfly, it's the best weapon to use against Armadura especially against the Strong Threat Armadura (Gold Knight); one shot to the head instantly kills a regular Armadura while the Strong Threat only needs two shots to the head to remove its helmet, and a finishing shot against its Plaga.
