The Insignia Key can unlock insignia doors as well as locked gates in the Village area in Resident Evil 4 Remake (RE4). Read on to learn how to get the Insignia Key, its effects, and where to use the key!

You can get the Insignia Key from inside one of the drawers at the second floor of the Village Chief Manor at the end of Chapter 2.
This room will be locked behind the Crystal Marble puzzle, so you'll have to solve that first in order to gain access inside.
The key is part of the main story, and you can't really miss it as you'll need to grab it in order to trigger the end cutscene for the chapter.

At the beginning of Chapter 3, you'll use the Insignia Key in opening a locked gate just outside of the Village Chief Manor which leads you back to the village.

After heading back to the Village Square from the manor and witnessing the tower collapse, you'll use the Insignia Key again at a house with a locked door with the insignia on it just beside the collapse tower.
Keep progressing through the game until you reach Chapter 4. There will be a Forest Altar locked behind a door with the insignia on it at the Lakeside Settlement.
Use the Insignia key on the door and follow the path to the right until you reach a ladder, then climb up to get to the altar.
The Forest Altar is where you can find a Small Key, a Clockwork Castellan, and the Catch Me a Big Fish request.
How to Get to the Forest Altar
It's recommended that you sell the Insignia Key for 2,000 Pesetas at any merchant once you arrive at the Castle as you can only use the Insignia Key within the Village area.
