You can skip finding the dynamite at the start of Chapter 11 in Resident Evil 4 Remake (RE4). Learn how to get past the obstruction without dynamite and if it's worth doing in speed runs!
List of Contents
At the start of Chapter 11, your path will be blocked by an obstruction. To get through it, you'll need to find some dynamite that is located in a nearby area full of enemies.
You can skip this set of enemies and getting the dynamite altogether if you have an RPG. Use it to blast the obstruction and open up the path for you and Luis.
Using Hand Grenades or Heavy Grenades on the obstruction will not work.
Rocket Launcher Location, Weapons Stats, and Upgrades
Once you trigger the Rocket Launcher, make sure to hide in the small pocket of space on the left side to avoid the debris that will fall from the explosion. Getting hit by the rocks will kill you immediately.
If you're doing this as a tactic to skip sections and speedrun through Hardcore or Professional difficulties, wherein you need to beat the game in under 5 hours and 30 minutes, using an RPG on the obstruction isn't worth it, given how expensive the RPG is.
You can choose to save your money to buy a weapon you'll use more in the long term for the rest of the game. If you already have an RPG, it would be better to use its single ammo on future boss fights.
Best Equipment for Professional Mode
This RPG method is viable for speedrunning an easier difficulty like Assisted mode, since it isn't that hard to find the money/the funds to get an RPG. It would also save more time to destroy the obstruction with the RPG than to take the time to retrieve the dynamite.
