This guide explains the post-credits scene in Resident Evil 4 Remake. Read on to learn about what the post-credits scene means and what the motivations are for the characters involved. Obvious spoilers ahead.
List of Contents
In the post-credits scene, in the helicopter, it is revealed that Ada Wong was hired by Albert Wesker, a recurring villain of the Resident Evil series, to steal the Amber. While he doesn't reveal his exact plans, he mentions that it involves the death of billions of people. With this information, Ada Wong decides against bringing the Amber to Wesker, holding the helicopter pilot hostage, and forcing him to change course.
In Resident Evil 5 (2009), Wesker receives a sample of the Plaga from a different source and uses it to infect the residents of an African Village to puppeteer them. However, his plans never come to fruition as he is stopped by the game's protagonists.
In the original game, Ada works for a different organization and never planned to give Wesker the sample. Whether this changes or remains for the remake depends on whether we'll see a remake of Separate Ways. Separate Ways is a side campaign released for the original game that goes through the events of Resident Evil 4 from Ada Wong's perspective.
Is Separate Ways in the Remake?
Wesker's first appearance in the post-credits scene shows him staring at a huge screen. If you look closer, the screen is full of easter eggs including an image of Excella Gione and an image of the Underground Garden, respectively a character and location from Resident Evil 5. This could just be simple easter eggs for the fans, but it could also be teasing the next remake in the pipeline.
