Resident Evil 4 Remake How to Swap Guns

Use directional buttons or number keys to swap guns in the Resident Evil 4 Remake. Read on to learn what are the different ways to switch weapons for both PC and Console in Resident Evil 4 Remake.

Use Directional Buttons

You can use the Directional Buttons on your controller to change the weapon you currently have equipped.

Register Shortcuts for Console

Similar to PC, you can also Register Shortcuts in the Inventory Menu to have more control over which weapon is assigned on each Directional Button.

On console, you can also swap weapons using the Inventory Menu. To do this, you must open the inventory menu and select the weapon you want to have equipped. This will immediately let Leon switch to that weapon once you resume the game.

Changing Control Type does not affect weapon swap

Changing the Control Type in the Options Menu does not affect the controls of your weapon swap.

How To Swap Guns on PC

Use Number Keys

You can use the Number Keys (1-8) on your keyboard to instantly switch weapons. Since each box in the weapon swap menu has an assigned number, you can easily swap to a specific weapon instantly.

You can also change the assigned weapon shortcuts by opening the Inventory Menu and clicking on Register Shortcut

Use The Mouse Wheel

Aside from the number keys mentioned above, you can also use the mouse wheel to scroll through different weapons and grenades in your inventory.

Swap Using the Inventory

Open the inventory and select the weapon you want to equip. This will immediately let Leon switch to that weapon upon resuming the game.

Key Binding Is Only Available On PC

Changing the Key Binding is not available on the console version of the game. It can only be seen and changed if you are playing on the PC version.
