Resident Evil 4 Remake - How to Use the Cannon

You can find and use cannons inside the Castle in the Resident Evil 4 Remake (RE4). Learn how to use the cannon, where to find it, and how to get the Zealot trophy!

Lift Cannons by Breaking Weights

Before you can use cannons inside the Castle, you have to lift them to the roof of each tower by breaking the nearby stone weights. You can destroy these weights by hitting them up close or shooting them from afar.

Manually Aim and Fire the Cannon

Unlike the original Resident Evil 4 (2005), players can manually aim and fire the cannon in the remake. Use the Right Stick or Mouse to move the cannon's line of fire, then press the Shoot button to blow up your targets.

Kill a Zealot with the Cannon to Get Overkill

Use a cannon to defeat a zealot.

Killing a Zealot with any cannon in Chapter 7 or Chapter 8 will reward you with the bronze Overkill Trophy.

Resident Evil 4 Remake - Castle Cannon Location
You can find cannons scattered throughout Chapter 7 and Chapter 8, where you use them to break through gates, destroy enemy catapults, and defeat the Armored El Gigante at the top of the Castle Battlements.
