Exit the room where you are held captive. Explore the area to look for your weapons. A corpse at the end of the hallway will have a Kitchen Knife on it. Head up the stairs and through the gate. Creep towards the unsuspecting villager and stealth kill him.
Afterwards you'll see your gear on the other side of an obstructed hole in the wall. Continue forward defeat the villager guarding the exit. Parry his attacks and go in for the kill with a Melee kick.
Vault through the window and creep towards the hallway to stealth kill the patrolling villager. If you are unsuccesful in attempting to stealth kill him, you can still kill him as you normally would. Interact with the wheel to open the door to your gear. This will not set the door in place. It will go down as time goes by locking it again. As soon as you let go of the wheel, dash through and vault through the opening in the wall instead of going around the hallway. Once you have your gear, exit the building where the Merchant will be waiting for you.
After trading with the Merchant, continue down the path until you reach the ladder. Climb up and drop down the other side of the gate. There will be several villagers in the area. You can opt to take them out from a distance if you bought the SR-M1903 from the merchant. Head straight to the house right across from where you jumped down. The front door will be locked, but you can vault through an open window on the right side of the house. Villagers will try to overwhelm you there, you can stand your ground or choose to climb up the ladder immediately.

The Hexagonal Emblem will be right across from the top of the ladder. Once you have the item, you will have to fight your way back to the starting point of the area. From where you get the Hexagonal Emblem, jump down, then going forward as you stay on the right until you reach a slope that takes you to the area where the gate wheel is. Once you open the gate, jump down and run towards the Merchant's location.

Elliminate the villagers in the area and climb up the stairs on the far end of the area. Continue down the path and you will start hearing the sounds of a chainsaw. Once you defeat the Chainsaw Man and a couple of villagers, keep on heading down the path until you reach the building at the end. There will be tripwire just as you approach the building, so proceed with caution.
The building will be locked, prompting you to head towards its back to check for a back door. Enter the house and investigate the area. There will be a puzzle on a cabinet.
The clue to the puzzle will be in the Iluminados 4:3 file found on the second floor. The solution to the puzzle is: Crop - Pig - Baby. Completing the puzzle will reward you with a Crystal Marble.

Chapter 3 |
The Chainsaw Man who appears outside the Village Chief's Manor is tough to get past and can be a huge ammo sink if you try to take him down normally. There are plenty of traps on the ground, which can spell your doom if you stumble into them, but you can use these to your advantage. Stand behind an active trap and simply wait for Chainsaw Man to approach, and he'll walk right into it. This will give you an opportunity to Melee, which will then knock him down and let you fire some lead into him.
This method will both make Chainsaw Man much easier to handle and save your ammo since it will be much more costly to kill him otherwise.
Throughout your gameplay, you will loot Kitchen Knives. These can be used to attack enemies just as you would with your primary knife. This is helpful if you wear out the durability of your primary knife and is still a bit far away from the nearest Merchant.
At the beginning of this Chapter, you will wake up with no weapons at all. Once you find a Kitchen Knife, you will receive a prompt telling you that you can parry attacks from weaker enemies to staggering them and allowing to go in for the kill with a melee attack.
While it may not matter most of the time how you traverse the area. There will be key areas that will rely on your speed in getting from point A to point B. Vault through openings to save even a few seconds as it could determine the difference between success and failure.
While they have the same durability as any other Ganados, because of their ranged attack with explosives, they become more of a threat. Once you take notice that a villager is throwing explosives, it is highly recommended that you take them out as soon as possible.
