How to Skip the First Village Fight

Shoot the Church Bells with a Sniper

This is only possible on New Game Plus as you will need a sniper rifle to shoot the Church Bell at the far side of the Village. It is much easier to take the shot from the roof of the house where you get the W-870 as it offers the best vantage point.

Shooting the bell triggers the cutscene where the villagers are entranced by the bell and leave you alone in the area.
