Players will need to move around a lot and utilize their weapons in order to get past the Village in Chapter 1 of Resident Evil 4 Remake (RE4). Read on to learn more strategies to get past Ganados and fight them off!
List of Contents
The Village of Ganados triggers a timed event that starts when Leon is spotted by an enemy. The villagers will try to chase and attack Leon until the bell chimes. As a timed event, players need to survive the onsluaght from the villagers.
The sequence ends when the bell rings, so there's no way of getting past the village until the bell rings.
It is highly recommended for players to take and use any of the equipment they have to ensure their survival. Players can pick up weapons from the village like the TMP and Shotgun, as well as a frag grenade.
Players can also use environmental hazards to delay the enemies coming after them, a great example of this is the barn and the bull inside it. Players can shoot the lamp to burn the barn along with the enemies and bull inside. Note that once burned, the bull will charge at anyone including the enemies and Leon himself.
Players can utilize the buildings in the village to funnel the enemy path towards Leon. A great spot we used is the balcony right outside where the Shotgun is obtained. Players can focus on shooting a single area without having to be concerned of getting hit from behind. However, players also need to watch out for axes thrown by enemies from the ground.
Players can stealth kill unsuspecting enemies as long as no other enemy sees them doing so. Although this strategy does not trigger the timer of the event, it greatly helps in reducing the initial enemy numbers when the event starts.
While this is more or less a Hail Mary approach, in the event you find yourself out of bullets but still need to face the villagers, you can run around the village and use smaller alleys to funnel mobs until the bell rings.
