RE4 Mercenaries - Mayhem Mode
Mayhem Mode is a time-limited skill available to all characters in The Mercenaries mode of Resident Evil 4. Read on to find out each character's Mayhem Mode ability and how to use them!

How to Use Mayhem Mode

Press the Trigger Buttons

PlayStation Xbox Series X|S PC
PS4 - L3 Button & PS4 - R3 Button XBOX - Left Stick Press & XBOX - Right Stick Press TBA

Pressing the trigger buttons will activate Mayhem Mode; upon activation the Mayhem bar will gradually deplete. Once the bar is empty, you will need to fill up the Mayhem bar again.

Mayhem Bar Increases Over Time

The Mayhem bar gradually increases over time and it does not require you to stay in action, although it's highly recommended to kill enemies to fill your bar faster.

Kill Enemies

A stable and simple way to fill up your Mayhem bar is by killing enemies in quick succession, not only does this fill your bar but it also stacks your combo multiplier.

Pick Up Yellow Orbs

Mercenaries - Yellow Orb.png

Picking up yellow orbs instantly fills one node of your Mayhem bar. There will always be two yellow orbs for each stage, so keep an eye out for them and choose your timing wisely when picking them up.

Parry Enemy Attacks

Parrying enemies fill your Mayhem bar significantly; make sure to parry all enemy attacks that you can to fill your Mayhem bar faster.

Avoid Being Grabbed

While in Mayhem Mode, we highly recommend to avoid being grabbed by enemies as this depletes your Mayhem Bar without you having to damage enemies and stack up points.

When to Use Mayhem Mode

During Elite Enemy Encounters

It's best to use Mayhem Mode whenever an Elite Enemy enters the arena, this allows you to deal with them faster and allows you to kill other enemies to stack up your combo multiplier.
