Where to Find Primeval Sorcerer Azur

Can be found sitting on a cliff just behind the boss, Demi-Human Queen Maggie. This fight is entirely optional and players can skip it by resting at the site of grace right next to Primeval Sorcerer Azur.

Primeval Sorcerer Azur will not respond when you speak to him. Instead, he will give you a sorcery spell called Comet Azur that requires a whopping 60 Intelligence in order to use.

Can Be Looted During Sellen's Quest

If players progress Sellen's questline, she will eventually move the bodies of both Azur and Lusat to the Academy of Raya Lucaria.

If you return to Azur's location on Mt. Gelmir after you compelte Sellen's quest, you will be able to loot his armor set from where he once sat. The set includes Azur's Glintstone Crown, Azur's Glintstone Robe, and Azur's Manchettes.

Lore and Trivia

Lore

• Sellen mentions that Primeval Sorcerer Azur was a founding glintstone sorcerer, and was her very first teacher in the arts of the arcane. Like Master Lusat, Azur was one of the only sorceres in the academy to gain the title of Grand Master.
• As is true for most of the strong magic practitioners in the Academy, Lusat was also swayed by the study of the primeval current. Due to its forbidden nature and the nefarious practices attached to its research, Azur along with Lusat were banished from the academy.

Trivia

• Before players speak to Azur for the first time, he will still be moving his limbs, albeit in small movements only. Once the Comet Azur is given, Sorcerer Azur will become still and unmoving.
• Azur's Glintstone Staff can be found inside the Academy of Raya Lucaria. From the upper floor of the Church of Cuckoo, head into the long corridor guarded by a High Page enemy. Lusat's staff will be in the guarded room next to a dead Graven Mass of Mages.
