Where to Find Albus

Old Albus can be found at the Village of the Albinaurics in Liurnia. The old man will be disguised as a pot, which can be found just after you pass the bridge leading to the Omenkiller boss battle.

Albus Medallion Questline

Gives Half of a Secret Medallion

Old Albus is one of the last survivors of the Albinauric Village massacre. Speak to him in order to claim the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right) key item.

This item will be necessary to speak to Latenna the Albinauric at the Slumbering Wolf's Shack in Liurnia. Additionally, this item will be used to enter a secret location via the Grand Lift of Rold, later on.

Triggers the Ensha Invasion

Receiving the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right) will trigger a world event at the Roundtable Hold. When players return to it after getting the half medallion, Ensha will be an invader.

Defeat Ensha before speaking to Gideon Ofnir. As an apology for his servant attacking you, Gideon will provide you with information about Latenna.

Albus Lore

The Albinauric

• Old Albus is an Albinauric - an artificial race made by human hands. However, unlike his bug-eyed, cartwheeling relatives, Albus is a first generation Albinauric. Despite looking more human, first generation Albinaurics are created infirm and unable to use their legs for movement.
• Due to the sorry state of the Albinaurics, most seek salvation in Miquella's Haligtree, where those shunned by the Erdtree's grace may find respite. This explains why Albus carries the secret medallion that leads to their promised land.
• However, before he could pass on the key to Latenna, the Village of the Albinaurics is attacked by men under the employ of Sir Gideon Ofnir. Omenkillers massacre the feeble Albinaurics in search of the secret medallion.
• Albus hides until the Tarnished manages to make their way to the Village. Entrusting the medallion's safety to the Tarnished, Albus passes after succumbing to his wounds.

Trivia

• Players can opt to kill Albus as soon as he reveals himself from his pot disguise. Doing so will not affect Latenna's questline as he still drops the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right) after dying.
• In early game versions, the Albus pot disguise is much darker and harder to spot. Currently, it now has a yellow glow making it easier to locate and reveal for new players.
