Latenna Quest Walkthrough

Quest Objectives

Show Her the Secret Medallion

Latenna's questline is tied to the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right) that Albus Albinauric will give you when you find him at the Village of the Albinaurics.

When you first speak to Latenna, she can be convinced of your good intentions by showing her the medallion. If players do not have it, Latenna's quest will not progress.

Ensha Will Invade the Roundtable Hold

Ensha Invasion

If players did not immediately return to the Roundtable Hold after receiving the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right), be prepared for an invasion when you do.

Once players fast travel to the Table of Lost Grace, Ensha will become hostile and immediately attack you. Beat him in order to regain access to the Hold.

Reclaim the Medallion's Other Half

Getting the Haligtree Secret Medallion Left

Latenna will join your party by turning herself into the Latenna Spirit Summon. She will then have you acquire the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Left) which can be found in Castle Sol at the Mountaintops of the Giants.

Note: This segment will be very lengthy, requiring players to defeat multiple bosses in order to unlock the Mountaintops of the Giants.

Defeat the Main Bosses in Leyndell

Morgott the Omen King Boss

Required Bosses to Beat
Draconic Tree Sentinel Godfrey, First Elden Lord Morgott the Omen King

In order to unlock the Mountaintops of the Giants region, players will need to defeat the Main Story bosses in Leyndell. This list includes the Draconic Tree Sentinel, Godfrey the First Elden Lord, and Morgott the Omen King.

Once these three bosses are beaten, Melina will give you the medallion to activate the Grand Lift of Rold, which takes you to the Mountaintops of the Giants region.

Defeat Commander Niall at Castle Sol

With the Mountaintops of the Giants unlocked, players can now head over to Castle Sol and retrieve the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Left).

Defeat the castle's boss, Commander Niall, to access the lift that takes you up the highest tower. The other half of the secret medallion will be on the ground next to a ghost.

How to Beat Commander Niall

Use the Secret Medallion at the Grand Lift of Rold

Hoist Secret Medallion

With the two pieces secure, return to the Grand Lift of Rold. Switch actions when at the platform to Hoist secret medallion and watch the platform take you to the Consecrated Snowfield secret region.

Note: The lift will bring you to a dungeon infested with Savage Militia and large Land Octopus enemies. They can all be skipped by running through the entire dungeon and getting the site of grace at the end.

Latenna Information and Lore

Lore

  • Latenna is a first generation Albinauric. However, unlike the aged males like Albus, Latenna is akin to one of her wolf-riding sisters that patrol the Consecrated Snowfields.
  • Latenna's mission had been to deliver the birthing droplet to a large, sleeping sister in the Mountaintops of the Giants. However, before she could make her way there, her wolf Lobo dies at the hand of Gideon's men. Alone and immobile, Latenna laments her spurned existence as she waits for death to claim her.
  • Later on, the Tarnished comes along after having been entrusted with the Haligtree Half Medallion. Seeing this, Latenna willingly turns herself into spirit ash so as to accompany them in search for the medallion's other half.
  • Once the two halves are reunited, Latenna asks the Tarnished to deliver her to the Apostate Derelict. There, she gives the birthing droplet to her sleeping sister whilst hoping for a better future for her people.

Trivia

  • Latenna's spirit ashes can ride wolves that you are fighting. This allows her to move around while also modifying the attacks of her new wolf mount.
  • The Haligtree is the Albinaurics' safe haven. Being a shelter for the spurned, misbegotten, and demi-human inhabitants of the Lands Between, it is no wonder Loretta considered it the Albinaurics' salvation.
  • Latenna's questline will break if players arrive at the Consecrated Snowfields before speaking to her about the Half Medallion. This prevents you from receiving her Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone reward.
  • Latenna drops her Blue Silver Mail armor set if you kill her at the Slumbering Wolf's Shack. However, this prevents you from completing her questline.

Latenna Quotes

"Foul Tarnished, what do you want? I told the all-hearing brute. That I possess no such medallion. Or have you come to take more from me? Was my other half not enough?"
"Then I suppose it's time. Farewell, Lobo. My faithful wolf, my better half. I will go with the Tarnished. So that our journey will not have been in vain. Forgive me, Lobo."
"Oh young yet towering sister of ours. Let the birthing droplet in. And create life. For us. For all the Albinaurics."
"Thank you. I've finally fulfilled my purpose. Our young yet towering sister will give us hope. Now that nothing is left unfinished, I will join you in battle to the bitter end. And when the fighting is done, then you may lay me to rest. Beside Lobo, my dear wolf."
