How to Kill Regenerators |
---|
|
Regenerators have three Plagas attached to their bodies, which aren't visible to the naked eye. You will be able to see them by attaching a thermal scope to a sniper rifle and shoot those Plagas to kill the Regenerator.
Biometric Sensor Location and Compatible Weapons
Explosives or Grenades can kill Renegerators quickly because of their power. You can also save ammo by using them instead of your guns. Just be careful not to get caught up in the explosion, or you might die with them!
Knives can't also parry their attacks, so it's best to keep them for later!
How to Save Ammo
In the original RE4, knives have infinite durability, which can be used to kill a Regenerator since it is slow and can only perform melee attacks. However, knives in this remake now have durability, and your knife might break first before you can kill them.
Knife Durability: Do Knives Break?
The knife is still useful, as you can use it to parry the arms of a Regenerator. Aim for the parry when needed, like getting cornered, instead of using it to kill Regenerators to preserve the knife's durability while avoiding getting damaged!
Best Knife
Regenerators can move faster without their legs and will be harder to hit as they crawl. Regenerators can also pounce on Leon once their legs are gone, so try to avoid destroying the legs as you fight them!
Even if the legs of the Regenerator are still intact, it will start crawling when two of its Plagas are destroyed. They'll lose the ability to walk, limiting their movements to crawling and leaping. But it doesn't make the battle easier, as it can move faster when crawling!
You'll know you've removed a Plaga on their bodies once they get staggered and shake their bodies a bit.
Shotguns or CQBR Assault Rifle can help you kill the Regenerators quickly once they start crawling. It will also stagger them, giving you some space to move, due to their firepower.
