Cannon of Haima Effects

Canon of Haima is a sorcery spell that allows you to fling a projectile that explodes in an area and deals damage to anyone caught in the area of effect. You can also charge the spell, and this will let you increase its damage but requires more time to cast because of it.

It takes about 3 seconds for this spell to be fully charged, and like most spells, casting will leave you open to attacks, which will cancel the spell. Consider using Spirit Ashes to distract your enemies and avoid getting interrupted while casting the spell.

How to Get Cannon of Haima

Complete Thops' Questline First

To obtain the Cannon of Haima you must first complete Thops' questline. This quest involves giving him the Academy Glintstone Key found inside the Academy of Raya Lucaria. Giving him the key will have you learn Erudition, a form of Gesture.

Get the Karolos Glintstone Crown

Karolos Glintstone Crown Map Location

The Karolos Glintstone Crown can only be obtained by killing a small white crab with crystals on its back in the Academy of Raya Lucaria. Exit north from the Debate Parlor site of grace and then head westward. The white crab will be hiding in a corner behind the bushes near the cliff.

Unlock the Converted Fringe Tower

After learning the gesture and obtaining the Karolos Glintstone Crown go to the Converted Fringe Tower, in the Liurnia of the Lakes region. Wear the crown and use the Erudition Gesture inside the tower. The seal will disappear the moment the crown glows.

Head to the topmost part of the tower and you should be able to see a chest containing the Gavel of Haima and the Cannon of Haima.

How to Use Cannon of Haima

Best Used Against Groups of Enemies

Cannon of Haima is best used when fighting against groups of enemies due to its large area of effect attack.

Cast From an Elevated Area

Use your surroundings and look for an elevated area where you can cast this spell free from enemy interruption. From there you can safely cast the spell to its maximum capacity while dealing with several enemies from afar.
