What Are Walking Mausoleums?

Moving Buildings You Can Enter

Walking Mausoleum Elden Ring.png

Walking Mausoleums are special moving buildings that you can enter. When one is brought down, the doors will open and you can enter safely.

They usually can be found roaming wide open fields. Some have a bell underneath them, making it easier to tell if they're nearby.

Used to Duplicate Boss Remembrances

Duplicate Remembrances Elden Ring.png

These Mausoleums are used to duplicate Remembrances that you have obtained from defeating the shardbearers and some other bosses. These include Remembrances that you have already previously used.

You can only duplicate a Remembrance once. Also, since there are only a few of these Mausoleums around, choose carefully which Remembrance you want to to duplicate!

How to Stop a Walking Mausoleum

Hit the White Barnacles

Walking Mausoleum White Barnacles Elden Ring.png

When you spot a Walking Mausoleum, look around its body. If you see glowing white barnacles, attack these to get them off. You can also use AoE skills like Gravitas to take several out at once.

These white barnacles may also be growing on the building atop its legs, which means that you will need either a Spirit Spring or a tall cliff to jump from to reach it.

The Walking Mausoleum will start fighting back, so make sure to dodge whatever its throwing at you. If it starts raining rocks down on you, get to a safe distance, wait for it to stop, then go for the barnacles again.

Once you've taken off enough barnacles, the Mausoleum will stop and start to fold its legs. Wait for it to fully come down before finding the entrance and opening the doors.
